What is 'Realtime' rendering and how does it work?

Realtime rendering is the new VR mode for ArtiCAD. It works the same way as our previous VR software worked however, the smoothness of the render and colour accuracy have been improved regardless of your hardware!

To access VR mode, simply click F2 on your keyboard (holding the Fn key if needed). Alternatively, you can choose 'Realtime' from the rendering options.

  1. You can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to go left, right, forwards and backwards.
  2. The 'W' and 'S' keys on your keyboard will enable you to move up and down.
  3. Hold the 'Left-Click' mouse button and drag your mouse to navigate around the design.
  4. You can select items in the Design by pressing left-click on top of them. Once they are highlighted in red, you can press F1 to edit that unit.
  5. You can change a surfaces material by right-clicking the surface in real-time. That surface will highlight in blue and you are then able to either, move the texture using the 'VR Material Parameters' menu or, press 'M' on the keyboard to customise that surfaces colour.
