How to use the Custom Worktop Creator tool

Please see information below on how to create a worktop using the Custom Worktop Tool.

To import a Custom Worktop into your plan, please type in "CWT" into the command box.

Once you press enter, you will be met with the box below. Within this area, you can choose what style of worktop you would like to use.

"Custom-Made Worktop" - This worktop will have the same colour, thickness and style as the rest of your room.
"Customer-Made Worktop 2/3" - These two worktops will allow you to choose a different colour, thickness or style compared to the worktops already in your plan.
"Custom Panel" - This can be used to create banquet seating or, any unique shapes within the software.
"Custom Vertical Panel" - This will allow you to create a Vertical Shape. Can be used to create banquet seating or, any unique shapes within the software.

Once you have selected one of the above items, select "Edit Points" in the next window.
Alert
Please ensure that "Edit Points" is selected rather than "OK" on the screen below.

Once you are in the Custom Worktop Creator Tool, the interface of ArtiCAD will change.

"Snap 100mm" = This will determine the Grid size and at what increments you can create your Worktop.
"Draw Grid" = Will place the Grid on the plan
"Snap to Grid" = Allows you to draw the worktop according to the Grid (if this is switched off, it will allow you to free-hand draw a worktop).
"Perpendicular Line Drag" + "Slide Line" = With both of these switched on, when moving a side of the worktop this will only be done in a perpendicular direction. (Useful when Grid Snap Size is smaller).
"Show Dimensions" = This will enable dimensions for your Worktop once it is drawn.
"Clear All" = This will clear any created worktops from your plan.
"Start New" = Allows you to begin drawing another worktop. - Please note that once you leave the worktop creator tool, these can only be edited individually.
"Grab Outline" = This allows you to select a run of units or an island and create a Custom Worktop layout by selecting that run. This can then be adjusted.
"Simplify" = This will remove unnecessary points within the worktop.
"View" = Allows you to choose between different views for the worktop you had created.
"Exit Editing" = This allows you to leave the worktop creator tool. Once you finish a worktop design, please use this button to leave as it automatically saves anything created and adds it into your plan.

To begin drawing a worktop, please use the Left-Click of your mouse to add points along the grid. Once your shape is almost complete, select your first point to finish the worktop.

To Adjust the shape you created, you can grab a "Point" or a "Line".
A "point" is a square on a corner of the shape or, where you Left-Clicked when creating the worktop.
A "line" is a side of the worktop. A line will turn red when you hover over it which indicates you can hold left click and move it to desired area.
