How to cancel and reissue your licence (moving your licence from one machine to another)

Version 25 introduces a new licensing system that allows for more flexibility and greater security. Your local ArtiCAD office will be in contact with you to get your new licences issued.

Once you are using the new licensing system, you can follow the guidance below to detach your licence and use it on other machine(s).

1. Click 'File' in the top left corner of ArtiCAD and select 'Activate' from the menu.

2. Once this window is open, you will see an option at the top of the screen - 'Deactivate Licence for code *LICENCE-CODE*'.

Info
Please make a note of this code as it will be required to activate your ArtiCAD again.

3. A pop up confirmation window will appear. To deactivate the licence, press 'OK'.

4. You will then receive a Licence Deactivation notification on your screen; this means the licence has been successfully deactivated and you can re-use the Licence Code on another machine.

Info
Please remember to repeat the above steps on the new device once you want to return to your original computer.
