How do I create tiling strips?

For creating tiling strips, its best to use the Tiled Panel. In ArtiCAD you have tiling panels, these can be used to create square or rectangular panels of tiles, the dimensions are editable so you can make them any size.

To use the Tiled Panel:

1. Firstly Go into Base Units.

2. Click on Miscellaneous [Red question mark on the left of the interface].

3. Click on 'Special' - or use the shortcut 'SP'.

4. In the Filter String, type: 'Tiled Panel'.

5. Input the required dimensions, then click 'OK'.

The material can then be edited in the colours menu under the texture name 'Wall Tile'. Tiled panels can also individually textured to be different from the rest of the room - Ideal for tile strips or border tiles.

To change a tiled panel texture individually:

1. Select the Tiled panel and click 'F1' to edit it.

2. Click 'OK' on the first window which appears.

3. Select the 'Materials' button at the bottom of the menu.

4. Now you can edit the selected Tiled Panel to be different from the rest of your design.
