To create this shape, you will need to use custom panels.
1. Select 'Worktops' and choose 'Custom Worktop' - from this menu, select 'Custom Panel'.
2. Ensure that the 'Height off ground' is set to 0 and Panel 1 is selected. From here, select 'Edit Points'.
3. Draw an L shape design - this will be the base of the bench.
4. Once drawn, click 'Exit Editing' and follow the previous steps to create the back support of the bench. Instead of using Panel 1, you will now need to select Panel 2.
After selecting Edit Points again, you will then need to create a thinner L shape design which sits behind the previous panel, shown below:
5. To apply curves to the panels, left click and drag with your mouse to select both the inner and outer points. To curve the points, click 'F2' on your keyboard.
6. Click 'Exit Editing', then go to the properties for the base of the bench to edit the points.
7. Left click and drag with your mouse again to select both the inner and outer points in order to curve these as well - to meet the edge of the previous curve.
8. Set the height of both Panel 1 & Panel 2. This can be done by heading to 'This Design' at the top of the ArtiCAD interface and choosing 'Room Settings'.
Alter the height of Custom Panel 1 to be the correct height for the bench. Then, alter the height of Custom Panel 2 to be the correct height for the back support of the bench.
Once clicking OK, head to Materials where it will now give you the option to change the material for both 'Custom Pan 1' and 'Custom Pan 2'.
When this base is created, you can then decorate this how you wish by adding cushions and applying materials.
