How do I change a feature in a wall, to another feature?

1. Click on 'View' at the top of the ArtiCAD screen to make sure the option 'show keyboard entry' is ticked. If the keyboard entry doesn't show, please click here for guidance.


2. Select the Window, Door or Arch you want to replace

3. The size of the object you have selected appears in the box at the top of the ArtiCAD screen. For example, if you have a 1000 width Window selected, in the box at the top of the screen it will say '1000:w'

4. Click inside the box to allow yourself to type. Backspace/remove the 'letter only' from the end, to leave the size and colon inside the box. Type the shortcut of the feature you would like in. (D - door / A - Arch / W-Window) in the place of the letter you removed.

5. After you have done this, press enter on your keyboard, this will change your object to the new feature.
