GLTF: importing and using

GLTF: importing and using

Introducing GLTF models to ArtiCAD!

GLTF (Graphics Library Transmission Format) is a file format for loading 3D models - making it a popular choice for displaying decoration models within designsThis allows you to choose from a wider selection of models to import into your designs.

To import a GLTF model:

1. Within your ArtiCAD design, select 'File' at the top.

2. From the drop down menu, select 'Import GLTF'. This will open the folder of default GLTF models included with Version 24.

3. From the file explorer, select the model that you wish to import and click 'Open'.

4. The model setup window will then open (similar to SketchUp™ import) - from here you  can choose the scale of your model before importing. You can only alter 1 of the dimensions as it will keep the model to the scale that it was built.

5. This will then prompt you to apply a height off ground, the option to change the materials of the model  and preview the model.

6. Once happy, click 'OK' - this will place the model in the design and you can drag it into the desired location.

A selection of GLTF models has been included in Version 24. These have been provided to us by iMeshh.
