Casting ArtiVR scenes from Meta™ (including Google Chromecast™)

If you wish to cast the display from the Headset to a TV, you will need a 3rd Generation Chrome Cast. These connect to TV’s via a HDMI Cable (Please follow the instructions from the Chrome Cast regarding this set up).

Once the Chrome Cast is installed, please see below.

If you do not wish to cast it to a TV, you can also cast via the Oculus App. You will need the app to set up your Oculus Headset.

How to Cast via the Meta Quest Headset

You can initiate casting directly from the headset. You don't need to use your phone to cast your Oculus Quest to a Chrome Cast.

1. Go to the Meta Quest Home screen on your headset.

2. Select Camera (at the bottom of the Home Screen) - this is a pink icon

3. Select Cast.

4. Select the Device that you want to cast to - this will be the name of your Chromecast.

5. Select Next.

6. You may need to select Start Casting on your target device depending on what device you're casting to.

How to Cast via the Meta Mobile app

1. Open the Meta app on iOS or Android.

2. Tap the cast icon in the upper right-hand corner (right next to the bell icon).

3. Select your Oculus Meta (any supported devices will show up on this list).

4. Select Your Chromecast device in the "Cast To" menu.
5. Tap start.
