'Assignable
Context's: This is for the more basic material set up. For example, if you
want to display multiple colour options for the plinth, scroll down the list,
find the context, highlight it by left clicking and select ‘Add context’.
This will add the chosen context
to the ‘Active pickers’ section below. Anything listed here is what you are
trying to edit to add multiple material options to. When a context is selected in that
menu, the ‘Active Options’ section below, will display the colours that have
been selected as a colour change option within the VR scene.
The first material displayed in
the list is the default one that is already assigned to that element in the materials
library. To select further colour options, choose your library and material on
the right-hand side as you usually would in the materials editor, and select ‘Add Option’ on the left. This will add them to the list of materials. You can
do this for as many materials as you like.
The order that the materials
display in the ‘Active Options’ list are the order in which they display in the
ArtiVR scene. If you want to reorder an item, left click to highlight and use
the options ‘Move Selected Option Up’ and ‘Move Selected Option Down’ to move
them into the desired position.
If you are using a manufacturer
specific catalogue, the ‘Assignable Doors’ menu will display the colour
libraries here. To choose from multiple colour options, select the library you
are using, and click ‘Add Door’. The list of default colour options for that
catalogue will appear, select the colour you are using. This will add the
colour to the active options list below. To add further colours, select ‘Add Option’ and the menu will reappear.
The active options will only
display for the context that you have selected.
Saving groups of materials/colours
If there are a certain amount of
material and colour options that you offer, you can save the options you have
set for use in future designs.
When you have set all the colours
and materials for the contexts, and you wish to save them ‘Save Selected Pickers’ – Here you can give the group selection a name and save it for future
use. These will save into the plans folder.
Loading groups of materials/colours
To load these options in future
designs, select ‘Load Pickers’.
When you have set all your colour
and material options, click 'OK'. This will export the ArtiVR scene.
Creating multiple colour options
If you want to create multiple
colour options for different selections in a design, you will need to set a
different colour initially within the design first. For example, if you want to
have an island bank of units as a different colour to the main units but wish
to show different options: Highlight the island bank, right click, and select
‘Change manufacturer/range’. From this menu, select ‘Change Colour’ and
select a different colour.
Back in the ArtiVR material editor
menu, this will now appear as an ‘Assignable Doors’ option where you can add
colour options in the same way as previously explained.
