ArtiCAD Activation Window

ArtiCAD Activation Window

When you first install ArtiCAD you need to activate your system. Your Activation code and instructions on how to use it are supplied in the welcome pack you receive when you purchased the system.

You have seven days from when you first installed the software to activate your licence - after which, it will no longer work and you will only be able to access the activation dialog.

If you have already activated the system, and the activation dialog has appeared…

This could mean that someone is 'borrowing' your licence. Computers on the same internet connect/network can share licences, even if they have their own!

1. Save your ArtiCAD file and Close down the ArtiCAD program on every PC.

2. Open ArtiCAD on the PC that was asking for the activation key first. This should now open up as the licence will bounce back.

3. Reopen ArtiCAD on the other machines.

NOTE - To prevent this from happening again, on each PC, locate 'File' within the ArtiCAD program and select 'Activate'. In this window, tick 'Never use other peoples licences'. You will need to restart ArtiCAD for this change to be implemented.

My activation code is bringing up a message: “All licenses have been consumed…”

Your activation code only works once. The message means this code has already been used to activate a system.

If you are moving to a new PC, you will need your HASP licence cancelled and reissued. Please contact your local support team with your HASP ID ready.

If you have purchased more than one licence, your confirmation email will contain an activation code for each licence.

I have an old USB dongle, and its asking me for an activation code…

This is usually caused by the machine having out of date dongle drivers, so it's not registering the dongle in the PC.

You can download the latest sentinel protection installer here.

If you have the latest drivers and it's still coming up with an activation, there are two possible reasons:

1. USB Port - some machine USB ports don't register the dongle, try plugging it into a different USB port on the machine.

2. Faulty Dongle.

If the dongle is faulty you'll need to upgrade to our new HASP software licenses. We no longer distribute USB dongles.
