1. Please ensure that you are on
the latest version of Windows.
2. Locate the 'C:Drive' or 'Local Disk C'.
This can be done by clicking on File Explorer at the bottom of your screen. (If
your ArtiCAD system is stored in a different location, please navigate to this
folder)
3. Within your C:Drive there will be a folder
called 'articad'.
4. Within the 'articad' folder you will
see a folder for 'Installations'.
5. Within the Installations folder will be
a folder for 'Direct3D', double click to open this folder.
6. Within the ‘Direct3D’ folder will be a
file for 'DX Set Up' – open this.
7. Accept the agreement and allow to run.
8. When complete, try and open ArtiCAD.
If that method does not work,
please try the below.
1. Locate the C:Drive (or the
location where ArtiCAD is stored).
2. Find the ‘articad’ folder.
3. Scroll down in the folder to
find the 'vc' files (listed below)
4. Left click on the top one, hold
shift on your keyboard and then left click on the bottom one to highlight them
all at once.
5. Right click on the highlighted
section and select ‘Run as administrator’
NOTE – A pop up message may appear
saying "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your
device?", if this occurs, please click Yes.
Each file will either give you one
of the following options:
- Repair or Remove/Uninstall - If you get this option, please select Repair.
- Install - If you get this
option, please select Install.
- Close - On the ‘vc2010’
files, a message may appear saying “Please resolve the following, there is
already a newer instance installed” - you can click close on this and
ignore it.
